Celtics Loss to Miami.Nothing New!

The Boston Celtics went into Miami with the game meaning a lot more to Miami then to Boston. The play of the Celtics clearly backed that statement. The uninspired effort should surprise no one. When a game is not relevant to this team, they lay down. The Celtics know they are able to beat the Heat at home or on the road come playoff time. They had zero to prove unlike the Heat. Come to think of it I do not think that Doc Rivers or any of Celtics Nation learned anything new from this game.
Listening to the National morons…oops media cover this game, one would think the Celtics are in trouble come playoff time. The problem is the Celtics are not in any trouble as long as a few factors are working in their favor. Obviously the Celtics have issues when they do not have a center combination that is defensively sound. Shaq will play Wednesday and be ready for game one of the playoffs. Jermaine O’Neal is almost ready to play the 25 minutes that the team will require from him. This means the days of guys like D-Rose and LeBron James driving in the paint. If the Celtics are lacking one or both O’Neals, the Celtics will be in trouble. This is not new news.
The other fun fact is if Rajon Rondo plays terrible the Celtics will lose. This is also not a huge surprise. Rondo is the engine that runs the offense. If Rondo does not attack the basket, the Celtics will struggle to score and the end result is a loss. This is also not really a story or anything new.
The Celtics struggles are right now not really something to be too worried about. To panic right now would be foolish. However, if the team does not snap into their game come the opening round of the playoffs, then one can panic. Until the playoffs hit, last season should have brought the team some good will with the struggling going into the playoff Celtics that were .500 after Dec.25 and the four seed going to the NBA Finals. This team is more talented than last year’s team. Let the media create stories, but remember the playoff performance is the one true fact that matters. Remember Go Green Or Go Home!!!!!
